Since 1999 the Keizer Heritage Museum has showcased Keizer stories, our community along the Willamette River, the people who have lived, worked and paraded through time here.

We are located on the first floor of the 1916 old Keizer School, now the Keizer Cultural Center next to Keizer City Hall and the Keizer Civic Center.

In 1986 the “Preserve Keizer Committee” was formed to save the old 1916 Keizer School building. In 1988 the Keizer Heritage Foundation was formed. As the renovation progressed items were found in the old edifice. By December 1, 1999, a museum was established to house memorabilia of the historic school and other items from the community.

The Keizer Heritage Foundation (KHF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the rich history of Keizer, Oregon. The Board of Directors operates the building as the Keizer Cultural Center and oversees the Keizer Heritage Museum. Three other tenants of the building are separate entities that support the Keizer community.
